Participants should complete the Basic Woodworking Course as the basics of woodworking will not be covered in this course. This course requires an intermediate skill level.
If you have always been interested in wood joints, this workshop is perfect for you! In this 4-session workshop, you’ll undergo both theory and practical training which will enable you to
Select suitable wood materials for a project
Learn about the various wood joints
Use and maintain the appropriate woodworking tools
At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to bring home your own handmade tool box/serving tray as well as the tools you learn to use and care for!
You will be given a curated set of tools, essential for joinery making! This set will include x2 Irwin Marples chisels, a Dove-Tail guide, a handy multi-square and more!
Participants will learn how to mark out and make the following joinery with traditional hand tools.
Half lap
Dado (housing joint)
Mortise and Tenon
Dovetails
Participants are expected to complete an assigned project to demonstrate their understanding and skills with the above joinery.
You will also receive a complimentary guided tour of our Kampung at the completion of your course.
