Volunteer Opportunities

GUI Volunteers support the daily needed tasks to upkeep Kampung Kampus, home of GUI, for more to come to connect with Nature, Self and Others.

To participate in GUI volunteer programmes is like walking into a School of Life using Kampung Kampus as a space to practise lifelong capacities and experience various means of sustainable living.

The basic tasks may involve farm work, wood work, kitchen work, housekeeping and logistic preparation. For regular volunteers, there could be tasks on reception, retail, Earth Oven baking, cooking, landscaping, programme facilitation, tour leading, event-support, skills-based functions, and etc.

 

GUI volunteers Onboarding essentials 成为聚友爱义工的要点:

  1. Practise punctuality 提早到
  2. Inform Task IC when you need to move away from assigned task 需临时离开义工岗位，请通知组长
  3. Put things back where they are housed 把用过的物件归还原位
  4. Care to ask. Willingness to step out of comfort zone. Keenness to learn. 保持热衷探讨，愿意踏出舒适圈, 虚心学习的精神
  5. Inform Volunteer Coordinator when you are not able to turn up 因故无法出席，请通知义工联系处
