Plastics Upcycle

A 45-minute hands-on introduction to the 5 processes of recycling plastic!

Learn how to:
1. Properly clean plastics by washing and removing any leftover product, debris or grease.
2. Sort plastics by the type of plastic and colour to ensure the quality of the final product.
3. Shredding plastic to cut down into smaller pieces by hand and then shredding them into even smaller flakes by using a shredder.
4. Press plastic flakes by melting them to form a new plastic block that can be used just like any other material
5. Finishing plastic sheets are polished, planed, and sanded down.

All kids 12 years old and below must be accompanied by adults.

Participants who are eligible for vaccination (currently 12+ in Singapore) must be fully vaccinated by 21 November 2021 (14 days post 2nd shot).
