Nature Play– Creating safe spaces from natural forms

A workshop for 5-7 year olds

Children gather natural resources from around GUI and build dens and tell stories together. A small group experience to build social and emotional skills in the healing environment of nature. A great hands on way for children to engage with nature and learn its magic whilst making friends in the process.

A workshop for 8-12 year olds

Building a tribal home, creating your tribal ritual,  improvised drumming and body painting

A nature play workshop to build social skills and expressive pre-verbal language through playful activities in nature- explore the rituals of our ancestors and how they took inspiration from the land. Get your children into the healing environment of the natural world.

Conducted By

Caroline Essame is the CEO of the social enterprise CreateCATT, Singapore, and the pioneer of the Developmental Play Model. She has been an art therapist, occupational therapist, educator, and play specialist for the past 35 years. More importantly, she has raised three children and her book “ Fighting the dragon finding the self – why art and play matter in early childhood” is dedicated to her sons and shares her passion for child’s play to help give children the best start in life for the best chance in life.

1. All tickets are non-refundable.
2. Any exchange of event dates or participant names will be considered on case-by-case basis. Participants should inform us of any proposed changes at info@groundupinitiative.org at least 3 days before the actual day of the event.
3. In the case of no-show, late attendance or early departure, no refund, replacement, make-up or exchange will be made.
