Embark on our guided kampung-based nature experience! Use yoga to explore movement and deepen our relationships with nature and ourselves!

3.30pm – 6.30pm
Recommended contribution: $30* per person (All proceeds goes to GUI and help #KeepKampungAlive) – cash collection on the spot!
Skill level: No prior yoga experience required
Gathering point: GUI HeartQuarters
Attire: Wear comfortable clothing for movement
Bring your own personal yoga mat.

*We love our work and like to share them with you, we ask for a recommended amount of $30 per person or more according to your means as a contribution for your participation. All contributions will go towards supporting Ground-Up Initiative and the building up of Kampung Kampus as a nature-inspired space for connection, growth, and community.

Forest Bathing

Facilitator: Kian Seng, a certified Forest Bathing Guide from the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and Programs, USA

Forest Bathing or Shinrin-Yoku is the Japanese-inspired wellness practice of spending time in the forest for better health, happiness and a sense of calm. Research has proven that spending time around trees can reduce blood pressure, lower stress, boost energy and boost the immune system.

In the session, we will share about the scientific benefits of being in nature. There will be a variety of sensory invitations facilitated by Kian Seng and these invitations will take place in the different spaces at Kampung Kampus, each crafted to deepen our connections with the more than human world.

Yoga

Facilitator: Sixian, a registered Yoga Teacher

As part of this series of invitations, we will also be drawing from the traditions of yoga to explore movement and facilitate an awareness of our relationship with nature, and ourselves. This gentle session set aside for us to tune in to our bodies will be guided by Sixian.

We’ll close the evening with some tea together in nature, while enjoying the beautiful sunset at the Kampung Kampus.

More information on the session will be emailed upon registration.
